Equipped in three of the four trims of the new Equinox is a sizeable turbocharged 2.0-liter 228 horsepower four-cylinder engine attached to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Though standard on the RS trim and optional on the others is a robust 3.6-liter 308 hp V6. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all trims, but all-wheel drive is optional.
