The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is available in three trims: the LT, RS, and ACTIV. The LT trim features 17-inch aluminum wheels with a bright silver finish and a chrome grille. The RS trim elevates the sporty appearance with 19-inch dark android-painted aluminum wheels, black bowtie emblems, and a sport mesh grille design with black accents. For the first time, 20-inch wheels are available on the RS trim. The ACTIV trim features 18-inch aluminum wheels with a titanium finish and a titanium chrome-plated skid plate. All trims include LED daytime running lamps, LED taillamps, and heated power-adjustable outside mirrors.

A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers all 2025 Equinox trims, generating 175 horsepower at 5,800 rpm. Front-wheel drive models produce 184 pound-feet of torque, while AWD versions deliver 203 pound-feet. FWD models pair with a continuously variable transmission, and AWD models have an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain setup matches the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 in base horsepower, though some competitors offer more powerful optional engines.

The 2025 Equinox has a 0-to-60 mph sprint time of 8 seconds. FWD models deliver up to 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, while AWD versions get 24 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The MacPherson strut front suspension and four-link independent rear suspension provide balanced ride quality. AWD models feature a Driver Mode Selector — with Normal, Snow, and Sport modes — plus the ability to switch to FWD mode for improved efficiency. When properly equipped, the Equinox can tow up to 1,500 pounds.

The standard 11.3-inch color touch screen pairs with an 11-inch configurable driver information center. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability and dual-zone automatic climate control come standard. The RS and ACTIV trims add an eight-way power driver seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Interior color options include Black Cloth, Black with Blue Accents, and Sky Cool Gray for the LT trim, while the RS offers Black with Red Accents and Adrenaline Red. The cargo area provides 29.9 cubic feet behind the second row, expanding to 63.9 cubic feet with seats folded.

Chevy Safety Assist comes standard on all 2025 Equinox trims, bundling automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, IntelliBeam auto high beam assist, and following distance indicator. A rear vision camera enhances visibility during parking maneuvers. The RS and ACTIV trims offer adaptive cruise control for enhanced highway driving assistance.
