Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Suburban's lineup includes six trim levels: the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Each variant features refreshed grilles and fascias for 2025. The LS and LT include 18-inch aluminum wheels and black assist steps. New 24-inch wheels are available on the RST and High Country models, and the RST features blacked-out elements and 22-inch wheels. The Z71 offers improved approach angles and skid plates.
Enhancements on the Premier and High Country include walk-up and walk-away lighting animations that activate when locking or unlocking the doors. The High Country stands out with bronze grille accents and body-color mirrors. Select trims include the AutoSense power liftgate, which automatically opens when standing behind the vehicle with the key fob.
Engine (Power)
The standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It achieves fuel economy ratings of 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway with rear-wheel drive, and 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway with four-wheel drive.
The 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard on the High Country and is available on the RST, Z71, and Premier trims. The 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine delivers 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque, representing a 10% increase in horsepower from the previous generation. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The 2025 Suburban's maximum towing capacity is 8,300 pounds when equipped with rear-wheel drive and the 5.3-liter V-8 engine. The Premier and High Country variants feature Magnetic Ride Control and the Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension for improved handling and ride comfort.
Most trims come standard with rear-wheel drive and offer four-wheel drive as an option. The Z71 includes standard four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case for serious off-road capability. The Suburban's 0-to-60 mph sprint times range from 6.1 to 8.4 seconds.
Interior
The 2025 Suburban provides a maximum cargo capacity of 144.7 cubic feet, with 41.5 cubic feet available behind the third row and 93.8 cubic feet available with the third row folded. The interior features a new 17.7-inch center touch-screen display and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster.
